The Land of the Free, Because of the Brave

I love Independence Day. I am so proud to be an American and I'm so grateful to all of the men and women who devote their lives to keeping our country free. I'm especially proud of my dad who served in the Army Reserves as a Colonel. He came to church many Sundays in his fatigues (even when sitting on the stand in the Bishopric) and willingly served our country in active duty during Desert Storm. His dedication to and admiration for this country, our armed services, our flag, and our laws is perhaps why I love this country so much. We had a wonderful 4th of July. It started with our neighborhood parade - Josh and Lindsay rode their decorated bikes while I carried Morgan and pulled Emily in the wagon. We then headed up to Midway to watch fireworks and spend time with Ryan's family. We wrapped up the weekend at my parents' house for a BBQ, swimming, and more fireworks for my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday Mom! We love you! Thanks for all you do for us!
God Bless the USA!!
